PBS Education’s 50 for 50 is a contest that reinforces the importance of students across the country having a voice in the political process.
Students in 6th - 12th grade are invited to write an open letter to the 2016 Presidential Candidates with ideas on what needs to change in government to get more accomplished.
Two students (one middle school and one high school) will win a trip to Las Vegas to view the final Presidential debate with the media.
Teachers, please complete all of the entry fields below and submit letters on behalf of your students.

ELIGIBILITY: The Contest is offered only within the 50 United States and the District of Columbia. Entrants must be a teacher or student in grade K-12.
TWO WINNERS: Two Grand Prizes will be made available (to be awarded one  per Grade Band, as described above). Each Grand Prize consists of a two night trip for winner and one guest to Las Vegas, Nevada, including: round trip coach air travel for winner and one guest to Las Vegas, Nevada from the major gateway airport closest to winner's residence; double occupancy hotel accommodations for two nights; arrangements for winner to have access to the Media Filing Center at the Presidential Debate on October 19, 2016 (subject to Sponsor receiving the required information needed to secure a media credential by October 7, 2016 at 12Noon ET); a $200 ground transportation allowance awarded in the form of a check made payable to the winner; and a grand total of $500 spending money awarded in the form of a check made payable to the winner. Any prize details not specified herein shall be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Airports, airlines, hotel, and any other elements of the Grand Prize will be selected by Sponsor in its sole discretion. The total approximate retail value of each Grand Prize is $3,500.
