Help with mail in entry

I want to enter a sweepstakes that has a mail in entry. The rules state that you need to send a plain 3x5 index card. Does this mean it cannot be a ruled (lined) white index card? I do not want to be disqualified on a small technicality. Thank you for any help and replies.

If you don't have a plain index card, write on the backside of a ruled card, as it doesn't have lines.

I would go with a side of caution. Use plain with no lines.
