I am blessed to be married to a women for 40 years who has made a loving home, raised 2 daughters and although always in pain and suffering has continually been an example of goodness, love patience and selflessness to her parents, me, her daughters and young grandchild. For  5-7 years she has suffered 3 back surgeries and cancer without complaining. She is an encouragement to her 4 sisters, her family and friends. She cannot walk on her own. It does not deter her visiting  family or  church.   Her courage in the face of suffering  has  blessed all by her example. She gives to everyone and often says that "To whom much is given much is expected" It is hard to see virtue in suffering but my wife has taught us that virtues of patience, love, goodness and selflessness can be seen in others when our compassion sees their pain and learn strength by their suffering.

Realizing my husband entered me as a person who inspired "goodness" I hope it is permitted that I do so for him. For 35 years he held respected jobs Assistant State Attorney, Judge, Financial Advisor. He was quiet, humble but enjoyed dedicating his life's work in the public service to others. 10 years ago I developed back degeneration, had 3 major surgeries and cancer. Life changed. I cannot walk on my own, drive, do dishes, clothes or clean house. It has become his new duties w/o any help. 5 years ago he also took on a store clerk job for needed insurance coverage for me. Never has he complained or tire serving me. His goodness of character is dependable and selfless. He serves our children by meeting their needs w/out complaint never refusing. He also helps total strangers and friends with legal problems at by giving free advice and representation. His duties now of service to me are not easy and often w/out praise but he serves with goodness.
