USA Today · New Grade Upgrade Contest

ELIGIBILITY: The Contest is open only to persons who are twenty-one years of age or older at the time of entry who are legal residents and physically reside in the forty-eight contiguous United States or the District of Columbia.

GRAND PRIZE: There will be one Grand Prize Winner named in this Contest. The Photo with the highest score will be named the "Grand Prize Winner" and awarded the following prize package :

• New Masonite Performance Door System (ARV up to $5,000);
• Entry makeover virtual consultation by designer John Gidding, the former host of HGTV's "Curb Appeal". The approximate retail value is $9,000;
• Installation allowance or direct coordination of the installation paid directly to the contractor (ARV up to $1,000) – Grand Prize Winner will be responsible for payment of any additional fees or costs; and
• $1,000 home improvement gift card so that the Grand Prize Winner can complete the curb appeal work (ARV is $1,000)

The ARV of the Grand Prize Package is $16,000.

NINE WINNERS: There will be nine first place prizes awarded to the next nine highest scoring Photos as follows

• New Masonite Performance Door System (ARV up to $5,000); and
• Installation allowance or direct coordination of the installation paid directly to the contractor (ARV up to $1,000) - Winner will be responsible for payment of any additional fees or costs

CONTEST JUDGING: At the conclusion of the Photo Submission Period, judging of the Photos will be conducted September 12, 2022 through September 16, 2022. A panel of third-party judges selected by Sponsor will evaluate all eligible Entries based on the following criteria and assign the Entry a score :

• visual appeal and overall impact of the Photo and adherence to Contest's back to school theme (60%)
• the expressiveness of child or children in the Photo (20%)
• front door most in need of replacement (20%)

Ten Photos will be selected by the Judges based on the Judging Criteria and the Entrants submitting the Photos with the highest Judging Scores will be deemed "potential winners" and be contacted by the Administrator. In the event of a tie, the Judges will choose a winning Photo based on the front door most in need of replacement. The Judges reserve the right to take additional time to determine the winners.
