Culver's · FFA Essay Contest

ELIGIBILITY: OPEN TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE 50 UNITED STATES, INCLUDING THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, AND PUERTO RICO, THROUGHOUT THE CONTEST PERIOD AND WHO ARE 13 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AT THE TIME OF ENTRY.

FIRST PRIZE: The first-place FFA chapter will receive $7,500 to use for their FFA chapter's trip to the National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis, Indiana in November 2023 or another agricultural education opportunity.

SECOND PRIZE: The second-place FFA chapter will receive $5,000 to use for their FFA chapter's trip to the National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis, Indiana in November 2023 or another agricultural education opportunity.

THIRD PRIZE: The third-place FFA chapter will receive $2,500 to use for their FFA chapter's trip to the National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis, Indiana in November 2023 or another agricultural education opportunity.

The prizes are non-transferable, non-negotiable and non-divisible, unless otherwise stated in writing or agreed to in writing by the CFS.

JUDGING: The Judges will use the following criteria to evaluate each essay:

• 40% based on quality (address prompt, clearly communicates ideas, relevant)
• 30% based on originality (original, effective examples, distinctive voice)
• 30% based on creativity (compelling, demonstrates passion for the topic, interesting and informative)
