One Entry Per Person.

It's the annual Outdoor Alabama Photo Contest and this year is a joint project between the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR), the Alabama Tourism Department (Tourism) and the U.S. Fish and WildlifeService in Alabama (USFWS).

Submit your outdoor Alabama Photos now in one of the available categories:

Birds of a Feather, Watchable Wildlife, Cold-blooded Critters, Bugs and Butterflies, State Parks, Sweet Home Alabama, Coastal Life, Nature-Based Recreation, Shoots and Roots, Waterfalls and Young Photographer.

All photos must be taken in Alabama and between the years 2017 and 2019.

File size is limited to 10 MB.

Eligibility and Prize Information

ELIGIBILITY: The contest is open to adults and youth. A total of 10 photos per person may be entered in the following categories. You may enter all 10 in one category or divide the 10 among several categories.

PRIZES: Winners will be notified by email no later than January 15, 2020. First, second, third and honorable mention winners will be selected in all categories. The judges reserve the right to decide whether a category contains work that merits awards.

Prizes will be awarded to each winning photographer along with recognition in the traveling exhibit. Prizes may include items courtesy of ADCNR, Tourism or the USFWS.
